Dr. Onye offers professional development for staff involved in college readiness or enrichment programming in high schools. The series applies a similar philosophy for staff as it does for students — people need holistic support to thrive. This series will cover curriculum implementation support and culture building, but will also help staff show up as their best selves..Schools that sign up for professional development packages also receive the full Onye Speaks Curriculum Series for students!
Curriculum Implementation Support
Every curriculum program needs an implementation plan that is adapted to the particular school system. Staff will receive guidance on how to maximize the potential of the Onye Speaks Curriculum Series.
College Readiness School Culture Building
Proper culture setting in a school environment can reduce the workload on staff. Students are motivated by an environment with strong shared beliefs or behaviors. In a collaborative setting, staff will receive guidance on how to establish experiences and norms that have all students striving to reach their full potential.
Soft Skill Development For Staff
As educators, its important to continuously work on our own self improvement as we try guide youth. Staff will receive their own guidance on crucial life and soft skills. In essence, staff will mirror the journey that students are going on.
